Aetna insurance Company established in 1850 and it is located in Hartford. The company's first president is Eliphalet A. Bulkeley. In 1853 The Annuity department separates from Aetna and is incorporated as Aetna Life Insurance Company. The name "Aetna" is retained to take advantage of the good reputation of the original Aetna. In 1899 Aetna enters the field of Health insurance and became one of the first stock insurance companies to enter the health insurance business.

Piss poor customer service and polices. I sent in a 90 Rx only to recieve 1 phone call 3 weeks later indicating i needed another and my doc to call. This happens over and over again and when asked what can be done to prevent it nonone has an answer. The automated voice service is also none user friendly and they try to deny claims from the same doctor hopping you will not notice. Fuck you Aetna your worthless.

I used to have aetna through my formar employer. I stated their because they had bluec croos blue sheild. they switched to aetna 4-5 months after i started. i can honestly sya it was the worst health insurance ive ever had in my life (currently 31ys old) im am happy to say that i know longer work their and dont have to pay to much for almost no coverage.

NEVER AGAIN will I even take a second look at these idiots who have apparently been taught to do nothing but lie about your coverage. They were accidentally chosen during enrollment and I have to say it was the worst mistake ever made. Trust me you might as well not have any insurance at all..
